Adler Planetarium free dates: January 4-8,11,12,15,18-22, 25-29, February 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 29.
Art Institute of Chicago offers Free Winter Weekdays.
Chicago History Museum offers free days on Monday through Friday in January and February.
Museum of Science and Industry offers free days throughout the year. Check for an updated schedule.
Shedd Aquarium offers discount days on January 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, February 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29.
Families can also save at six area children’s museums by purchasing a Family CLIMB membership. The membership costs $135/year and offers free admission for two adults and all dependent children under the age of 18 living in the same household, up to six admissions. Participating museums include: The Children’s Museum of Oak Lawn, Discovery Center Museum in Rockford, DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville, KidsWork Children’s Museum in Frankfort, Kohl Children’s Museum in Glenview, and Wonder Works Children’s Museum in Oak Park.
