Forest Preserve District of Kane County
Registration is now open for the January session of “Little Saplings,” a fun nature program series for children ages 3 to 5, presented by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.
Little Saplings hourlong programs include a combination of stories, nature hikes, songs, games and crafts.
The program takes place at Creek Bend Nature Center in St. Charles. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child.
Upcoming dates for “Little Saplings” include:
• Thursday, Jan. 21, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with the theme, “Scurrying Squirrels.”
• Thursday, Feb. 18, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with the theme, “Beavers and Bark.”
The fee is $5 per child, per session, and advance registration is required. To register, call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com.
Creek Bend Nature Center is located within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve at 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.
