Head inside to the museums. We’ve got such a great collection of museums in the Chicago area, and not just the large city museums. Here’s a sample of local museums you’ll want to know. When you’re ready to head inside, check out their terrific exhibits.

Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago in Glenview – new Wizard of Oz exhibit opens Sept. 24th.

Discovery Center Museum in Rockford – great hands-on science, math and art exhibits.

Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier –Unboxed: Adventures in Cardboard features the best toy ever – the cardboard box.

DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville – new Trains art gallery opens Sept. 17th. (Note that this museum is closed for updating through Sunday, Sept. 16.)
