Kids activities in Carol Stream


The Carol Stream Park District offers a variety of activities for all ages this spring. For information, visit www.csparks.org. The park district’s Fountain View Recreation Center is located at 910 N. Gary Ave., and Simkus Recreation Center is located at 849 W. Lies Road.

Mini golf opens May 1:

Coyote Crossing Mini Golf opening day will be Saturday, May 1. Until then, look for “pop-up” days! These are planned last minute when park district staff expect nice weather. Coyote Crossing is located at the entrance of McCaslin Park, 27W650 North Ave, West Chicago. Rounds are $5 on regular days. Visit csparks.org for special theme days and discount days.

Spring sports leagues:

Most spring leagues begin in April: youth baseball/softball, tee ball, soccer, kickball and volleyball. Adult softball, volleyball, pickleball and “cup in hand” kickball leagues begin in April. Sign up today!

Candyland trail:

Kids up to 17 years follow the outdoor interactive winding colorful trail through themed lands, playing games, collecting treats and meeting characters. The event will be Saturday, April 24, at Coyote Crossing. You must register for trail time by Tuesday, April 20. Adults need to accompany children and also register, but adults are free.

Zumba party:

In support of Autism Awareness Month, join in a Zumba party from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 25. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Autism Awareness Foundation. Pre-register at csparks.org.
