Fridays on the Green
July 7 in Mount Prospect
Pick up a picnic dinner at one of our downtown restaurants or grab a bite to eat before or after the concert. Bring chairs and blankets. Free parking in the adjacent Emerson Street Garage at Village Hall.
Book Sale – Schaumburg Township District Library
July 8 in Schaumburg
Used paperbacks will sell for 50 cents apiece, while hardcovers will sell for $1 in the library’s basement. Any audiovisual items, such as DVDs and CDs, will sell for 50 cents each. Nearly all genres of fiction and non-fiction books and DVDs will be available for purchase.
Gold Coast Walking Tour – Chicago History Museum
July 8 in Chicago
Whisk away to a time when Chicago’s rich and famous caroused on the coast. Gaze at ornate architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Sullivan, step onto a rare wood-block alleyway, and take in Chicago’s early mansions.
Millennium Art Fest

Located two blocks north of Chicago’s bustling Millennium Park, the Millennium Art Festival returns to downtown Chicago for its 9th year! Positioned on Lake Street, just off of Michigan Avenue and close to many of the city’s most popular cultural attractions.
Roscoe Village Burger Fest
July 8 – 9 in Chicago
The savory patty and a rockin’ music lineup are on the menu at this 11th annual burger bash in the hot Roscoe Village neighborhood. In addition to a dozen burger vendors the July happening also features artisans and a Kids’ Zone area.
