Ice Skating at Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park
Jan. 4-7 in Rosemont

Ice skating returns to the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at Parkway Bank Park November 23 through January 7. The parks’ great lawn will be transformed into an NHL-sized, outdoor skating rink where visitors of all ages can skate.

 

 

 


Winter Carnival: Freezin’ Friday – Glenview Park District
Jan. 4, in Glenview

Kids ages 5-14 can enjoy a packed day of fun, including skating, crafts and broomball during “Freezin’ Fridays” at the Glenview Ice Center. Advance registration is required and there’s a $50 fee, which includes lunch.

 

 

 


Winter Challenge – Schaumburg Township District Library
Jan. 4-31, in Schaumburg

All ages can earn badges by reading or completing fun activities. Earn five badges to win a prize. Join online by going to SchaumburgLibrary.org/Read or by visiting any STDL location in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates or Hanover Park.

 

 

 


Winnie the Pooh Day – Jumps n’ Jiggles
Jan 8 in Elk Grove Village

Celebrate the day Winnie the Pooh style! Create crafts from the classic Winnie the Pooh stories, munch on snacks, play on the Jumps n’ Jiggles playground and ride the indoor Carousel! General admission rates apply.

 

 

 


Baby Book Times – Des Plaines Public Library
Jan 7 – Mar 1 in Des Plaines

For children ages birth through 24 months with a parent/caregiver. Activities include sing-alongs, story time, and group discussion. This program runs from January 7 to March 1 in partnership with the School District 62 Early Learning Center (ELC).
