Westgate Elementary Leadership Day – Westgate Elementary School
February 9 in Arlington Heights
Leadership Day is a community event (February 9, from 9:30-11:30) that gives Westgate, a Franklin Covey Leader In Me school, the opportunity to showcase its students’ leadership skills and the leadership philosophy that drives the culture of the school.

Pets and children are welcome to have their picture taken with Buddy’s own Valerie Valentine! (small donation per picture required.) A Bake Sale will be offered.
Open House for Prospective Campers – Banner Day Camp
February 10 in Lake Forest
Banner’s well organized program and activities are designed for socialization, skill development and maximum FUN! Campers between the ages of 3-13 experience traditional day camp activities.
I Heart Birds – Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
February 9 in Chicago
Put on your fancy clothes and your dancing shoes, and join us at our very own Valentine’s dance—for the birds! Kids and families are invited to come party with us as we celebrate our favorite feathered valentines.
Snowshoe Trekking – Rolling Knolls
February 10 in Elgin
Come out, get active and enjoy the Forest Preserves on Snowshoes! This free program is open to the whole family and will include guided nature hikes, skins and skulls and a warm fire.
