Chili Cook-Off September 27, 2014, 12-4pm
Join us for a day of chili, live music, beer and food vendors and fun for the entire family! Entry to the festival is free and chili samples will be available to purchase.
This International Chili Society sanctioned, home-style chili competition attracts competitors from all over Chicagoland. The winner of this cook-off earns $500 cash and an automatic bid to the ICS World Championship in Las Vegas.
Our DJ will kick off the day at noon with music and dancing, followed by a live culinary demonstration at 1:00 pm. The People’s Choice tasting competition will start at 2:00 pm (while supplies last), followed by a live performance from Hillbilly Rockstarz! Winners will be announced at 3:30 pm. 1pm – Culinary Demonstrations on the Stage
Learn to make pico de gallo and guacamole with a demonstration from College of DuPage chef Christopher Thielman
2pm – People’s Choice tasting begins
Purchase your sampling cups from the information booth, try as many competitor chilis as you like, then vote for your favorite chili in the Peoples Choice Contest to earn yourself an ‘i voted’ sticker.
2pm – Live music from country band Hillbilly Rockstarz
3:30pm – Winners Announced
