Cooper & Kid: Kits for Fathers & Kids

Looking for a unique way for dads to have some fun with their kids or a Father’s Day gift to use year round? You’ve got to try a subscription box from Cooper & Kid. It’s a quarterly kit full of fun based on a theme, specifically designed for dads and kids to work on together. Our latest kit was full of fun activities and goodies with a bug theme.

Watch our website and Facebook page for your chance to win a sample Cooper & Kid kit.

Here’s what’s included in the kit:

  • A Spiral Bound activity guide with 18 pages of ideas for bug-related activities, such as building a bug home, making a bug mask and having a scavenger hunt.
  • A bug catcher net with two magnifying glasses, one which creates a “bugs-eye view”
  • Larvets cheddar cheese worm snax (not my personal favorite but the kids love them)
  • A Red Toolbox bug barn kit, complete with pre-cut wood pieces and assembly instructions
  • Ready-to-color bug masks
  • A dozen or so plastic critters
  • Two plastic bug swatters
  • Scotch tape for catching bugs
  • Ace Lacewing Bug Detective children’s story book

It’s a clever collection of hands-on adventure for sons and daughters that highlights different themes like flights, the ocean, space, music, magic tricks and more. Cooper & Kid is the first subscription service that puts the power of play in dad’s hands.

Along with the monthly kits, you get access to the Cooper & Kid online portal, which provides digital resources with additional activities, videos, playlists, and educational brain food links. There’s an additional section Just for Dads, with helpful parenting tips such as “Teaching Kids to Respect Insects instead of Squishing Them” and “Bug Bites & Stings Frist Aid.”
