The snow is back and we’re ready to make a few more snowmen before the season is over. Here are a few February events, including ice sculpture festivals, to remind you that it’s still winter. Just be sure to call ahead to make sure these events are still going on if the the snow melts.

Feb. 3, 6-8pm
Moonlit Ski
Highland Park. Cross-country ski by the light of the full moon. Fee includes ski rental. For ages 6+.

Saturdays in February, 10am-4:30pm
The Science of Snow Exhibit
Geneva. Visit Peck’s Farm to learn about snow’s role in our environment as we investigate further into this unique form of precipitation. Group field trips welcome.

Feb. 6-8
Downtown Downers Grove Ice Fest 2015
Downers Grove. Join us in the downtown area where the streets will be lined with nearly 40 creative ice sculptures. See live ice sculpting demos and a magic show, along with a pancake breakfast and in-store promotions.

Feb. 7, 11am-2pm
Frostival
Park Ridge. Enjoy the snow and participate in outdoor games and activities such as snow golf, sledding and a family snowman contest. Hot chocolate, cookie decorating and craft stations, too! For all ages at the Oakton Sports Complex.

Feb. 7, 9am-noon
Ice Fishing
Villa Park. Free ice fishing event for all ages at North Terrace lagoon. Please register.

Feb. 7, 10am-1pm
Wonders of Winter
Oak Brook. Try ice fishing, horse-drawn hayrides, winter nature hikes, seasonal crafts and more at the Mayslake Peabody Estate.

Feb. 7 & 8, 4-8pm
Winter Chilly Fest
Skokie. Indoor chili dinner and outdoor fun with ice skating, creative snow and ice games, showshoeing and hayrides and a campfire. Proceeds benefit the Emily Oaks Nature Center.

Feb. 8, noon-3pm
Frosty’s Winter Play Date
Oakbrook Terrace. Meet Frosty the Snowman at the Lake View Nature Center for an afternoon of fun outdoor activities including a sled dog demonstration.

Feb. 14, noon-3pm
Snow Daze Festival
Kenosha, WI. A free, family-friendly winter festival in Library Park with professional ice sculpting demonstrations and an interactive ice sculpture exhibit, family games and snow painting.

Feb. 14, 5:30-7pm
Night Snowshoeing
Wheaton. View the stars as we hike through the winter wonderland of Lincoln Marsh on snowshoes.

Feb. 22, 1-3pm
Arctic Blast|
Glen Ellyn. An afternoon of frosty family fun and games, including: ice skating races, sled races, snowball toss, and snow art at Lake Ellyn Park.
