Little Yelpers Club Field Trip

Get your permission slips ready! In celebration of National Family Fun Month, you’re invited to join us August 9-31 for Yelp’s first ever Little Yelpers Club Field Trip. Exploring the North Shore one kid-friendly place at a time, we’re setting out to discover stops for classes, birthday parties and fun family activities… all for free!

 

Kickoff Event

On August 9th from 6:30-10:30PM, our field trip kicks off at Heller Nature Center in Highland Park. Bring the kids and the blankets for campy crafts, cooking with Sticky Fingers Cooking, and an evening of music and film – picnic optional! Music Institute of Chicago faculty and friends will perform a twilight family concert. The Lorax movie will begin at 8:30PM under the stars, or indoors if it rains. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Offered in conjunction with the Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods Film Festival and the Music Institute of Chicago.

The Performer’s School in Highwood for a glimpse of a Princess/Prince workshop and showcase of acting, tap, tumbling, and circus arts

What’s Little Yelpers Club You Ask?

On Chicago’s North Shore, Yelp isn’t just about grown ups. Open to the entire Yelp community, and launched in 2013, Little Yelpers, up to age 11, have been exploring businesses and participating in special events while meeting other Yelpers with kids. Whether you have wee ones in your life 24/7 or just occasionally babysit your nephew for the afternoon, Little Yelpers Club is hooking families up with all the hot spots for tots.
