Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites – Kohl Children’s Museum

Children can build literacy skills through imaginative, interactive experiences and dramatic play with a focus on vocabulary, print motivation and awareness, narrative skills, letter knowledge and phonological awareness.

 

 

 


Lifeline Theatre KidSeries Presents Bunnicula
Nov. 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 in Chicago

At a showing of Dracula one dark and stormy night, the Monroe family discovers an abandoned rabbit. When they bring him home, resident know-it-all Chester the cat suspects the worst after spying gleaming fangs in the bunny’s mouth.

 

 

 


Family Skate Sunday – Triphahn Ice Arena
Nov. 11, 18, 25 in Hoffman Estates

Family Skate Sunday is a weekly event for families to have fun and exercise together! The park district offers lower rates on Sundays from 1-2 p.m.. $3 admission for kids under 12 and $5 for adults.

 

 

 


Leo Lionni’s Frederick – Chicago Children’s Theatre
Nov. 11-12 in Chicago

Opening the 2018-2019 season is Leo Lionni’s Frederick, the smash hit family musical based on beloved children’s author Leo Lionni’s Caldecott Award-winning book about Frederick the mouse.

 

 

 


Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Naperville Open House
Nov. 10 in Naperville

On Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Naperville will host an open house event. During the event, families will have an opportunity to meet the school principal, teachers and current students.
