Bear Awareness Weekend – Brookfield Zoo

On Saturday, May 19, 2018 and Sunday, May 20, 2018, Naper Settlement is transformed into a Civil War encampment where visitors can meet famous figures of the past and experience firsthand a turbulent time period in our nation’s history.
Pet Promenade – Ty Warner Park

Visit Ty Warner Park to celebrate our family pets! This is a pet-friendly event…there will be a pet parade with awards, reptile demonstrations and awesome vendors. Free.
Fling, Swing and Kick – Palatine Hills Clubhouse

A family event for children 12 years and older and their parents! $40 per person includes an opportunity to play 9 holes of golf, “kick” golf or disc golf, and a BBQ buffet with soft drinks.
Wizard of Oz – The Chicago Theatre
May 19-20 in Chicago
A new national tour of the iconic musical will be laying down the yellow brick road in 2018 and 2019. Specially adapted for ages four and older, this newest incarnation of the show features the best-loved songs from the original musical and classic movie.
